Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Part Time/Term Time (Monday to Friday)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to support the Head of Provision and join our successful team in a forward thinking and innovative school. The successful candidate will enjoy all aspects or organisational and administrative work and will possess excellent communication skills and a high standard of literacy and numeracy. He/she will be expected to establish and maintain good relationships with all staff, parents, pupils and other professionals and will be flexible, reliable and discreet.
Key Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities are indicated below. Other duties of an appropriate level and nature may also be required, as directed by the Head of Provision.
1. To provide efficient administration and secretarial assistance to the Head of school.
2. To manage the Head of Provision's diary and time including booking appointments, acting as the “gatekeeper”.
3. To open, sort and distribute the Head of Provision's mail advising on any urgent matters.
4. To organise meetings and events including refreshments and room bookings, taking minutes as required.
5. To liaise with professional bodies, outside agencies, other schools etc.
6. To assist in collation and preparation of documentation, statistics, management information and reports.
7. To prepare agendas, take and distribute minutes of Leadership meetings, staff meeting and employee meetings.
8. To act as first point of contact for the Head of Provision.
9. To act as first point of contact in the Head of Provision’s absence.
Experience of PA work or working in a school would be an asset, strong secretarial and communication skills are a must and shorthand is desirable but not essential.
