Partner with the best
To own the pipe system design and engage with customers on pre-contract requirements. Provide technical support throughout all stages of the project tendering process from early concept to full tender proposal. A rounded engineering function, with a passion to deliver for our customers. Technical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating engineering process as well as performing detailed engineering system designs and calculations.
The ideal candidate for this role should have a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with experience or some knowledge designing and implementing flexible pipe systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential for success in this position.
As a Pipe Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Working on competitive bids and proposals for flexible pipe projects, which involves analyzing technical specifications and developing cost-effective solutions to meet client requirements.
2. Uses sound engineering practice to develop pipe systems design to customer specification.
3. Provides technical support throughout all stages of project tendering process from early concept to full tender proposal.
4. Performs engineering calculation, using company software tools and design guidelines, to develop and verify design of pipe structure and associated ancillary items. Leads Working on analytical and system design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
5. Facilitates engineering output from other departments and sub-suppliers as required to develop quality output.
6. Driving technical solutions and inputs to risk mitigation.
7. Communicates aspects of the technical proposal to internal and external stakeholders, acting as company representative
8. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to create winning proposals that showcase the company's expertise and capabilities.
9. Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, which allows for continuous learning and professional development in the dynamic oil and gas sector.
10. Contributing to the growth and success of the company by winning new business opportunities and expanding the portfolio of flexible pipe projects in the market.
11. Participates in, and contributes to, improvement of software, process and tools, including product development and cost-out.

12. Have relevant technical qualifications from an accredited university or college.
13. Have demonstrable experience in other Engineering/Technology role.
14. Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
15. Be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to work independently.
