Monday - Friday, 40 Hours

Job Type:

Permanent / Full Time The Senior Quantity Surveyor shall:

Ensure timely submission of accounts Liaise with PQS and Client SQS Assist the Business development team in pricing FM Contracts Prepare and submit project interim valuations Prepare and submit variation claims Prepare interim WIP reports including monthly contract forecasts. Prepare anticipated Final costs versus Final Forecast Recovery. Prepare and submit cost allowances and cost activity codes. Re-measure BoQ items and subcontractors. Issue subcontract payment notifications. Payment of subcontractor accounts as and when required. Prepare and issue subcontract documents. Verify subcontractor CIS certificates prior to start on site. Set-up and keep up to date RFI/COI Schedules in conjunction with Site Manager. Prepare and submit Final Account to PQS. Liaise with PQS with regards to anticipated Final Account figure. Report on buying gains/losses including the reporting of any future potential financial problems. Negotiate rates/prices with LO subcontractors. Review recovery against LO subcontractors work. Periodically review any disruption the variation work has had on site progress with Site Manager. Attend regular progress meetings with Client and Design Team As required assist with the taking off of quantities for tendering purposes change as circumstances dictate to include any other duties requested by management. Prepare and update cashflow/expenditure profiles. Periodically review projects with Project Director. Be responsible for the line management of the QS Team onsite

This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the job title andthe range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectiveswill be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals. Essential Criteria Demonstrate previous experience in a QS role particularly within MTC type and Maintenance contracts Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the market Demonstrate strong communication skills and be able to work at a senior level Experience of managing profit and loss accounting and working to budgetary targets Sound project management track record Initiating, drafting and reviewing documents Excellent negotiation skills Desirable Criteria Exposure to Project Lifecycles and infrastructure management Demonstrate a sound knowledge of commercial and contractual issues in relation to Facilities Management and PPP contracts Knowledge of costing works via NSR schedule of rates, or similar suite of rates.
