About The Team
Our Consulting Highways teams impact journeys across the UK by partnering with a range of clients on major design projects and local network improvements. Our Energy, Lighting and Technology (ELT) practice works across street lighting, technology, traffic signals and Electric Vehicle (EV) strategy and designs, including all elements of highways infrastructure (structures, highways, drainage and geotech).
We design infrastructure projects for high-profile clients such as National Highways, Transport Scotland and various Local Authorities. Projects include examples such as a carbon-neutral road improvement project in Cumbria and other major highway design and safety improvements.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Electrical Engineering Graduate, you will contribute to the effective delivery and maintenance of infrastructure services across our varied contracts.
You Will Work Alongside The Team To
* Undertake technical work within your ability and competence.
* Prepare design calculations, AutoCAD drawings and documents.
* Carry out site visits and inspections.
* Prepare feasibility studies, inspections, assessments and technical reports ensuring compliance with Amey procedures.
* Keep up to date with industry best practice and apply it within a team environment.
* Develop innovative solutions to enhance delivery of projects.
