CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed term contract/attachment starting ASAP to 27/02/26 (backfill role)

LOCATION: Salford, Dock House – hybrid (2/3 days in the office)
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £34,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join BBC Children in Need, supporting one of the UK's most loved Charities. As a Personal Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the Chief Executive and his team are operating effectively and supporting our ambition that every child should have the chance to thrive and be the best they can be.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Manage busy, complex diaries for the CEO and others in the Chief Officer Group,
* Support the CEO and Business Advisor to achieve good governance by co-ordinating agendas, collating papers and minuting key meetings and ensuring follow-up of actions
* Providing assistance on governance-related tasks
* Co-ordinating directorate and other conferences (such as All Staff Awaydays, including the booking of venues, travel and accommodation) and assisting with delivering logistics for the Appeal night
* Assist in maintaining a corporate calendar with the key meeting dates within CiN
Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Considerable experience in an EA / PA or senior-level equivalent administrative capacity within an Executive environment (business or charity sector)
* Exceptional administrative and organisational skills, with a focus on complex diary management
* Excellent communication (in all mediums), interpersonal, and organisational skills, including building and maintaining key relationships in a senior space
* Proven experience in handling sensitive and confidential information, with an understanding of prioritisation and discretion
* Experience in formal minuting, action tracking, collating and formatting papers for formal meetings (for example Boards, Committees and Senior Management meetings)
Desired But Not Required
* Ability to advise senior managers on how to shape their diary to work effectively
* Able to be approachable yet firm as the situation demands
* Able to think creatively in response to changing needs
* An interest in the success of BBC Children in Need
* Experience of carrying out a range of business support/team assistant activities
