We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support across a range of projects, ensuring costs are effectively controlled, revenue is maximised, and liabilities are minimised. The role involves working closely with design and delivery teams to manage projects in line with time, cost, quality, safety, and sustainability objectives. Key Responsibilities * Deliver accurate financial reporting to achieve strong commercial results. * Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and the supply chain. * Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, including valuations, payments, and final account negotiations. * Place supply chain orders in accordance with procurement schedules. * Measure and value works completed, ensuring compliance with contract terms. * Ensure timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers, meeting cash flow targets. * Monitor project expenditure against budgets, producing cost analyses and forecasts. * Identify opportunities to maximise value while minimising cost. * Liaise with clients on commercial matters including variations, claims, and additional payments. * Prepare contractual documentation to support claims. * Support continuous improvement within commercial processes. * Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations. Requirements * Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent qualification. * Strong pre- and post-contract experience on major construction projects. * Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, plant, equipment, and logistics. * Strong working knowledge of construction contract conditions. * Awareness of cost implications in programme delivery and construction solutions. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and database software. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
