This school is seeking a creative and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a successful and well-resourced DT department. We are looking for someone who is passionate about practical learning, design thinking, and preparing students with the skills for tomorrow's world. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:
* Teach Design and Technology to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5 depending on experience and specialism)
* Deliver engaging and innovative lessons across a range of material areas (e.g. Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, Engineering, or Textiles)
* Foster creativity, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills
* Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
* Maintain high standards of health and safety in a well-equipped workshop environment
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
* A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a specialism in Design and Technology or a related discipline
* A passion for practical learning and a broad knowledge of materials and tools
* Strong classroom management and the ability to engage and inspire pupils of all abilities
* An understanding of current exam specifications (e.g. AQA, OCR, or Eduqas)
* A willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities, competitions, or STEM events
