We are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic and adaptable individual, ideally an experienced TA or HLTA, to take on the role of PPA cover across the academy.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with different age groups and is confident in leading whole class learning within a supportive, inclusive, and high achieving environment.
Our PPA Cover role plays an important part in maintaining high quality teaching and learning during teacher release time. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver well planned lessons that reflect the academy’s expectations and values.

The post-holder will be expected to provide high-quality cover teaching across different year groups during teachers’ Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time, ensuring continuity and consistency of learning. and to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that maintain high standards of behaviour and academic progress in line with the Academy’s ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver lessons planned by class teachers or, where necessary, plan and deliver appropriate learning activities that meet curriculum requirements.
· Provide cover teaching across multiple year groups, adapting quickly to different learning stages and classroom environments.
· Ensure that all lessons are engaging, purposeful, and inclusive, maintaining the Academy’s high expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement.
· Maintain detailed records of pupil attendance, behaviour, and progress during cover lessons, providing feedback to class teachers as required.
· Support pupils’ learning by employing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including ICT, to motivate and engage learners.
· Work collaboratively with class teachers, phase leaders, and senior staff to ensure seamless continuity of learning.
Uphold the Academy’s behaviour policies, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment at all times.
