Job Overview:
Are you interested in developing the next generation of smartphone and tablet solutions, optimizing performance and power efficiency using the latest process and packaging technologies? The Central Technology Group at Arm comprises engineers specializing in all aspects of SoC system architecture.
This role offers the opportunity to make significant impacts daily by solving challenging technical problems in next-generation handheld devices. You will engage in development work to initiate projects, conduct sophisticated proof-of-concepts, and serve as a technical leader.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with engineering leadership and product planning teams to develop the technology roadmap.
* Translate technology requirements into platform architecture, including hardware, software, tools, and other components.
* Work proactively with Arm’s architecture and core technology teams to support the development of architecture platforms and technology features for smartphones and large-screen compute SoCs.
* Evaluate architecture proposals and IP features, providing leadership across hardware, software, and platform groups to align development efforts.
* Represent Arm in customer meetings with high technical credibility, incorporating feedback effectively.
* Develop high-level architecture specifications to enable engineering teams to design and verify platforms for client market segments such as smartphones, large-screen compute, and embedded devices.
* Design experiments and analyses to address architectural questions, and develop tools like simulators, models, and profilers to support these analyses.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in smartphone/tablet SoC architecture or related fields.
* Strong technical background and credibility.
* Ability to drive progress in ambiguous environments.
* Collaborative and influential across organizations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
Nice to Have:
* Bachelor’s degree in EE/ECE/CE/CS or related fields; MS or PhD preferred.
