The Role: We’re currently recruiting a Foundation Phase (U9-12) Player Care Officer within our men’s academy to help us take things to the next level. Due to the nature of the role, evening and weekends will be required. Key Responsibilities Build strong relationships with all players and families within the Foundation Phase and be the main point of contact for all off pitch issues. Work with the Recruitment Department to ensure that all Foundation Phase trialists and their families are welcomed into the club. If signed, lead on a full induction into our academy. Be the pastoral lead on Foundation Phase domestic and international tours ensuring the high level of safeguarding and pastoral care is provided to our players. In collaboration with the Player Care Department, design and deliver an age-appropriate Personal Development Programme to players within the Foundation Phase, linked to our club values. Deliver a Parent Education curriculum to support parents within the Foundation Phase on their academy journey. Lead on the development of our Alumni programme, ensuring that all PDP players leaving our programme are given bespoke support. Be a Designated Safeguarding Officer and work closely with the Senior Safeguarding Manager to ensure there is a strong safeguarding theme throughout the Foundation Phase. In conjunction with the Youth Development Phase Player Care Officer, lead on a Parent Voice programme for your phase, ensuring that parent engagement at our desired level and that parents are heard and feedback is provided to relevant stakeholders. Any other roles, as deemed appropriate by the Player Care Manager. Experience of working with in an Academy environment. A sound understanding of safeguarding. Ability to form positive and proactive relationships.
