Location: Field-based – North London & Northern Home Counties
Package: £50,000 – £60,000 + Company Vehicle + Bonuses + Full Benefits
We are seeking an apprentice-trained engineer for a dynamic field-based role with a world-leading CNC machine tool OEM. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while supporting a wide range of manufacturers across the region.
Role Overview
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring CNC machine tools operate efficiently and reliably. Your main responsibilities will include:
Breakdown & Maintenance: Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and ensure smooth machine operation
Installation & Commissioning: Install and optimise new equipment at customer sites
Servicing & Repairs: Address mechanical and electrical issues with precision
Customer Support & Training: Advise operators on correct use and maintenance best practices
Ongoing Development: Participate in OEM-led training, including international courses and exposure to the latest technologies

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Engineer: Apprentice-trained in mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled engineering
CNC Experience: Hands-on experience maintaining CNC machine tools is essential
Driven & Adaptable: Motivated to learn and develop skills as technology evolves
Flexible: Comfortable with travel and occasional overnight stays
Licensed Driver: Full UK driving licence required
