You will also act as the lead professional in complex cases, ensuring a holistic, whole-family approach.
The role involves preparing comprehensive reports, managing interventions, attending court proceedings, and working closely with a range of multi-agency partners including the Police, Probation, education, and health professionals.
Additionally, you will mentor and support colleagues, contribute to service development, and play a pivotal role in maintaining high professional standards across the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload in line with national standards and local procedures.
* Complete detailed assessments using the AssetPlus tool to identify risks and needs.
* Develop and review intervention plans that address offending behaviour and promote positive outcomes.
* Prepare high-quality pre-sentence and referral order reports for the courts.
* Deliver and coordinate targeted interventions with young people and their families.
* Provide mentoring, supervision, and guidance to junior colleagues and students.
* Support service development initiatives and performance improvements.
* Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as part of a duty rota when required.
About You
You will be a confident and capable practitioner, skilled in risk management and multi-agency coordination, with a passion for supporting vulnerable young people to achieve positive outcomes.
Essential criteria include:
* A recognised professional qualification in Social Work, Probation, or Youth Justice.
* Experience managing a caseload and working with young people involved in the criminal justice system.
* Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
* Experience in delivering interventions and working collaboratively with partner agencies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A full UK driving licence with business insurance.
