Job Role: Senior Support Worker
Location: Bryncoch, Neath (SA10)
Salary: £14.40 - £15.00 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
UK Driving license with access to a vehicle is desirable.
About Cedar House:
At Cedar House, we support 14 people with Mental Health needs, Acquired Brain Injuries, Learning Disabilities, and Physical Disabilities. We work with individuals with varied abilities and needs, helping them develop skills, strengths, and resilience. Our goal is to enable individuals to manage themselves and stay well by providing appropriate support and coping techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to adults in supported living environments.
2. Promote independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with diverse care needs.
3. Support individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, household duties, budgeting, and accessing community activities.
4. Assist with the development and implementation of individual care plans.
5. Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure individuals receive the best possible care.
6. Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and provide coaching and mentoring to Support Workers.
Minimum Requirements:
* 1-2 years' experience as a Support Worker in an adult care setting.
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (required for travel between locations).
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable adults.
* Experience in supervising or leading a team.
