Occupational Therapist
We are recruiting on behalf of local government for a skilled Occupational Therapist to join their Reablement Team, helping individuals regain independence following hospitalisation. This hybrid role requires approximately 50% face-to-face work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct strengths-based assessments and develop tailored reablement plans.
* Support clients to achieve maximum independence and minimise long-term care needs.
* Provide professional guidance, advice, and training to colleagues.
* Act as an expert advisor on equipment and decision-making.
* Manage a diverse and complex caseload with autonomy and professional judgment.
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
* Support the implementation of adaptations and demonstrate specialist equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with professional registration.
* Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in a similar role.
* Valid full UK driver’s license for travel to clients’ homes and other care settings.
* Proven experience conducting complex client assessments and designing care plans.
* Strong knowledge of professional guidelines, legislation, and best practices in occupational therapy.
* Experience providing training and support to colleagues.
