We are seeking a dedicated Classics/History Teacher for a unique opportunity at a special needs school in King’s Lynn. This long-term role (with the potential to become permanent) involves teaching 3 days per week (Tuesday to Thursday) and working closely with students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging Classics and History lessons tailored to meet the needs of SEMH students.
2. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
3. Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
4. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to support student well-being and academic progress.
5. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and school leadership.
6. Promote positive behaviour management strategies and uphold the school’s values and ethos.
Requirements:
7. Prior teaching experience is essential; QTS/QTLS is preferred but not mandatory.
8. Strong subject knowledge in Classics and History, with the ability to inspire and engage learners.
9. Experience working with SEMH students is highly desirable but not required—training and support will be provided.
10. A flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
11. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
