* Preparing sushi and sashimi:This includes slicing fish, rolling sushi (maki, nigiri, etc.), and plating dishes according to established standards.
* Ingredient management:Selecting fresh ingredients, ensuring proper storage, and maintaining inventory levels.
* Maintaining hygiene and safety:Keeping the sushi station clean and organized, adhering to food safety regulations, and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized.
* Collaboration:Working with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
* Menu development:Creating new and innovative sushi dishes while maintaining classic favorites.
* Customer interaction:Providing information about sushi offerings and accommodating special requests.
* Training:Mentoring junior sushi chefs on techniques and presentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
