What the Role Involves
As a Senior Support Worker, you\'ll play a key leadership role in the home. You\'ll be responsible for:
* Leading shifts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
* Supporting and mentoring Support Workers and Waking Night staff
* Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
* Promoting best practice and professional development across the team
* Organising meaningful activities that promote joy, learning, and growth
* Maintaining high standards of documentation and safeguarding
About Hillside House
Hillside House opened in 2017 and is registered to care for looked-after children aged 12-18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The home is a 5-bedroom detached property located in Nottingham, just a short walk from the Jubilee Campus at Nottingham University.
Currently, Hillside House is home to one young male and three female residents, each with unique personalities and interests. The home is lively, supportive, and built around positive routines and relationships.

All applicants must have their own right to work in the UK, permitting them to work 40 hours per week

* A strong, compassionate personality and leadership qualities

* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
* Experience supporting vulnerable young people in a residential setting
* A QCF Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (essential)
* A desire to grow – opportunities to complete a fully funded Level 5 qualification available
* Structured career progression into management roles
