Salary: Grade 6, £29,540 - £32,597 per annum. 37 hours per week. Temporary until March 2028.
Role Overview
You will support a range of tenants (regardless of tenure) who require rehousing, taking ownership and coordinating a move to an alternative property on a temporary or permanent basis while essential repair and/or remedial works are carried out.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the highest standards of service and care to tenants requiring rehousing and move‑on, ensuring that processes to include the starting and ending of tenancies run efficiently.
* Advise tenants on the rehousing process and available options, assist with the completion of relevant forms, and provide practical support throughout the move.
* Collaborate with other Council teams, services, and external stakeholders to maintain clear and continual communication with tenants.
* Take ownership of issues within your control, ask the right questions, make independent decisions, and produce innovative solutions where needed.
Qualifications
* Level 3 qualification (or higher) in a related field or significant experience relevant to the role.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of managing caseloads.
* Passion for helping people, with respect and empathy for residents undergoing the rehousing process.
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to deal with challenging customers and circumstances, managing expectations effectively.
* Capacity to take ownership and responsibility of issues under your control, ask the right questions, and make clear independent decisions.
* Ability to produce innovative solutions to support the role and improve tenant experience.
