New Directions Education is recruiting a pool of confident, adaptable, and compassionate Cover Supervisors to work across a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) provisions in Leeds.

We are looking for individuals who:
-Are confident in managing classroom environments and promoting positive behaviour
-Can adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of learners
-Are patient, empathetic, and resilient, particularly when working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
-Have a genuine passion for SEN education and making a meaningful difference in young people’s lives
The role:
Working as a Cover Supervisor within SEN settings is both meaningful and fulfilling. As part of your role, you will:
-Deliver pre-prepared lessons and activities to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
-Support students to remain engaged and focused throughout the school day
-Adapt lessons and support strategies to suit individual learning styles, including pupils with: Autism
-Complex learning difficulties
-Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
-Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
-Build positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and school staff
-Ensure the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of all learners in your care
