We have a fantastic opportunity for a General Assistant to join our team at St Charles Health & Wellbeing Centre. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality support services across the site and contributing to a safe, clean and well-maintained environment for patients, colleagues and visitors. London, W10 6DZ £29,742 per annum (£15.21 per hour) 37.5 hours per week • Permanent DBS Required • Training Provided Monday to Sunday 4-week rotational shift pattern: Week 1 Mon-Fri: 07:00-15:00 Week 2 Wed: 09:00-17:00 Thu-Sun: 15:00-23:00 Week 3 Mon-Tue: 09:00-17:00 Thu-Sat: 09:00-17:00 Week 4 Mon-Wed: 15:00-23:00 Sat-Sun: 07:00-15:00 About the Role: As a General Assistant, you will deliver a wide range of essential services to the required standards and specifications. You will play an important part in maintaining service quality, supporting clinical areas, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Support the timely delivery of a full range of general assistant services. Patient movement - transporting patients to and from wards as required. Linen duties - delivering clean linen to wards and returning soiled items to the laundry store. Waste management - safe removal, handling and storage of clinical and domestic waste. Specimen handling - receiving, moving and storing blood and other specimens. Cleaning duties - including the use of electrical floor cleaning equipment and steam cleaners, following national cleaning specifications. Grounds maintenance support - keeping grounds, paths, car parks and gardens tidy; gritting/salting during adverse weather. What we can offer you: 27 days annual leave 8 days bank holiday.
