Store Colleague - Customer Team Member
Location: West St, Comberton, Cambs, CB23 7DS
Pay: £12.40 per hour & benefits
Contract: part time 8hrs, overtime available

Comberton's Co-op store is located just opposite the Village College on West Street.
As a Co-op Customer Team Member (CTM) you'll be the public face of this exciting new store, taking responsibility for customer service, ensuring stock is replenished and looking its best, operating the in-store bakery and being part of a professional team which helps to support some brilliant local projects by sharing profits within the community. It's not just talk. It's what we do.
What you'll do as a Customer Team Member
There is plenty involved in being a Co-op customer assistant. The pace is always fast, with different duties to take on through your shift. Here are some of the key tasks:
· providing friendly, considerate customer service (and really getting to know customers)
· preparing and presenting our products, including from the bakery
· keeping the store well stocked and looking good
· thinking on your feet if there's an issue or problem to solve
· promoting Co-op membership, and the local projects we support
Who can be a Customer Team at Co-op?
We're not looking for any specific experience or qualifications – we provide full training. It's your personality, skills, motivation and values that matter. You'll need to show us:
· a real passion for customer service
· great communication and listening skills
· the ability to work well in a team, and achieve team and individual goals
· an enthusiastic approach and willingness to support your colleagues when the store gets busier
· the flexibility to work a range of shifts to support the opening times of the store, the greater your flexibility the better and we always arrange shifts 3 weeks in advance so you'll always be able to plan ahead.

Please note, you have to be aged 18 to take on this role, as it involves authorising age-related sales.
Working pattern: up to 5 varied shifts over 7 days including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview. Where possible we shall look to accommodate successful candidates with their preferred option of hours and shifts, although this cannot be guaranteed.
Note also that for bakery roles the shifts are set for mornings only (from 06:00 to mid/late morning).
