Bored of churning out designs that never leave the screen?
Tired of seeing your work buried in version 26_final_FINAL_v2 and forgotten in a shared folder? If you want your designs built, tested, and pushed into real-world applications - this is where it gets good.
Why this job is different
You wont just be refining legacy parts or stuck in endless reviews. Youll be working on new product development, from concept to sign-off, with a team that genuinely values engineering input. Think hands-on, high-spec defence systems, not glorified catalogue tweaks.
Its not often you get to work on serious engineering challenges and see your ideas come to life in the same building.
What theyre about
This is a company with real engineering pedigree, quietly delivering high-performance tech into some of the UKs most demanding environments - including defence infrastructure and critical systems.
Youll be part of a dedicated project unit focused on defence programmes, with the freedom and tools to build things that are precise, durable, and properly engineered - not cobbled together for margin.
Whats in it for you
Ownership of full product lifecycle
Hybrid working and early Friday finishes
25 days holiday, plus Christmas shutdown and bank holidays
Solid 4% pension, life cover, sick pay
Learning and development that actually gets funded
Mental health support, cycle to work, and good coffee
No dead weight just a sharp, collaborative team that gets it done
Who would thrive here
Youve got a background in mechanical design within a manufacturing setting - ideally defence, aerospace, or similar. Youre confident with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), NPI processes, and know what it takes to get a design off the page and into production.
Youre proactive, comfortable in cross-functional teams, and happy rolling your sleeves up when needed. Youre also BPSS cleared, or willing to get it sorted.
