A fast-paced leisure group based in the Portsmouth area are seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant.
The finance function plays an instrumental role in business performance, working closely and supporting the wider organisation.
The Financial Accountant Role
Working within a small team of 4–5 people, the financial accountant role will play a key part in the month-end process, reconciliations, and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journals
* Perform intercompany reconciliations
* Manage sales invoicing processes
* Review and monitor aged debtors and aged creditors
* Oversee the purchase ledger function, including credit card reconciliations
* Prepare VAT returns
* Support the year-end audit process
About You
Essential:
* Experience in an Accounts Assistant, Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
Desirable:
* Part-qualified or qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
* Working knowledge of Sage 200 or Xero
