Overview
Are you ready to make a real difference in a warm, dynamic school environment? We’re looking for a kind-hearted, motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Teaching Assistant, working alongside secondary young people with autism in a specialist resource base. This role starts ASAP, runs 5 days a week, 8:30 am–3:30 pm, and pays £13.70 per hour. Why this setting? You’ll be part of a supportive learning community within a thriving secondary academy serving ages 11–18. Since joining a respected regional trust in late 2023, the school has made strong progress in behaviour, attitudes, attendance and safeguarding, earning praise from inspectors for its calm, well-managed environment and improvements in student relationships and safety. The academy hosts a dedicated centre for students with autism, purpose-built and designed to support pupils with additional needs.

* Work one-to-one or in small groups, helping students with autism engage and learn
* Build trusting, positive relationships that help young people feel safe and included
* Support structured learning and encourage social interactions in a calm, caring atmosphere
