Buro Happold is a global engineering consultancy known for delivering iconic projects worldwide. We operate in 21 locations and are seeking a MEP Building Services Engineer Degree Apprentice (Level 6) to join our innovative Bath MEP team.
Overview
This apprenticeship program blends hands‑on engineering work with a day‑release university education at Bristol UWE, focusing on energy simulations, sustainability, and performance analysis.
What will I be doing?
* Embrace the latest energy and MEP technologies to improve performance and sustainability.
* Undertake detailed building services design and calculations across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and sustainability domains.
* Ensure service and project work are delivered to excellent standard, within agreed deadlines and budget.
* Prepare technical specifications, schedules, design development reports, and innovative design solutions.
* Plan and manage input to Building Information Modelling (BIM) software for production of design work.
* Use BIM software to design engineering services, learning from colleagues and in‑house training.
* Represent the company as part of a team by attending design meetings, client and architect consultations.

What qualifications will I need in order to enrol?
* Tariff points: 112
* GCSE: Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
* A‑level: Minimum two A‑levels, including Mathematics (Grade C or above) and one additional subject from the list provided (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, etc.).
* BTEC Diploma or equivalent (as listed) with Merit in specified units, or an HE Diploma with required credits, or an IB Diploma with specified grades.
* Other pathways (Irish Highers, T Levels) meet the same core criteria as detailed.
What do I get?
* Graduation with a BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering University degree (Level 6).
* Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status upon completion, with mentoring and support to achieve IEng and further industry accreditation.

* Hands‑on experience of MEP work in a diverse, collaborative environment.
