Welcome to the Griffin Inn; the light of the picturesque
Fletching village. Nestled in a secluded corner of the verdant East Sussex
countryside and overlooking, what we affectionately coined, the Sussex
Serengeti, our quaint country pub is a charming and characterful nod to the
heritage of traditional English pubs. With a history steeped in fame and having
catered to our fair share of the rich and famous over the years we've got
customer hospitality down to a fine art. Boasting a large indoor area, a Mediterranean-style
patio space and one of the largest and most beautiful pub gardens in all of
Sussex, we are uniquely poised to offer one of the best all-round dining
experiences.

locally sourced menu we're passionate about delivering creative and astounding
dishes that both excite and amaze all those who eat them; focusing our efforts
on the use of high-quality, fresh and seasonal ingredients to achieve these

To join our kitchen, we're looking for a hungry chef;
someone passionate with a keen eye for detail who values skill and progression
in both their ability and position. Joining us would mean becoming part of a
dedicated and supportive team who celebrate and champion a genuine love for
food, combining traditional and modern British cuisine. Creativity and input is
encouraged with a strong foundation in quality, consistency, presentation and
efficiency all being a must.

What we look for in a Sous Chef:
We are looking for an existing
Sous Chef or Senior CDP looking for their next step, who considers themselves
as a natural leader with a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food
in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As the successful Sous Chef
you will:
* Have experience championing excellent service
through quality food
* Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing
a team
* Be an active hands-on Chef with excellent
communication skills
* Be responsible and able to manage the kitchen
staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times
* Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be
able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and
deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
* Demonstrate great planning and organisational
skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and
labour
* Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and
delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house
teams
* Demonstrate
exceptional levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen to ensure
consistent high standards
