Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi dishes that delight our customers and enhance their dining experience.
Duties
* Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls.
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
* Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Stay updated on current food trends and techniques to continually enhance menu offerings.
* Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests during meal preparation when appropriate.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on sushi preparation and presentation.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: £12.41-£13.00 per hour
