LOCAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Location: Stirling
Franchise: Ford

We are seeking a Local Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Vehicle Ford business. You will cover both Perth and Stirling areas and be an integral member of our Ford Commercial Vehicle Sales teams, this role offers you the opportunity to put your relationship-building skills to use with local businesses across both Stirling, Perth and the Surrounding area.

What does a Local Business Development Manager Do?

You will be predominately field based covering the geographic areas of both Stirling and Perth. Working as part of the wider Ford Commercial sales teams, you’ll be responsible for reaching out to local business customers within the Stirling and Perth areas to assess their business vehicle needs and converting these to vehicle, finance and insurance sales. You will manage the end-to-end business customer experience, ensuring options are tailored to business customer needs. Day to day, you will:

✔ Identify local businesses with a requirement to purchase new LCV
✔ Increase revenue and achieving sales growth by working towards agreed targets and objectives
✔ Guide business customers through their purchase, providing outstanding customer service as the face of both Parks Motor Group and the Ford vehicle brand
✔ Meet individual sales targets by maximising upsell and cross-sell opportunities on conversions, finance and insurance products.
✔ Managing the full sales cycles from identifying new prospects to securing new opportunities, negotiating and closing deals.
✔ Maintain a strong relationship with all potential and existing business/B2B customers.
✔ Monitoring and reporting on all sales activity as required
✔ Maintain a specialist knowledge of manufacturer vehicles and options, participating in regular knowledge updates with the centre sales teams
✔ Manage the vehicle handover process, ensuring compliance with Parks processes
✔ Adhere to Parks and industry regulations relating to the sale of vehicles, finance and insurance
✔ Create a Territory Management Plan that allows for a structured and targeted approach to selling
✔ Build relationship with local converters and body builders

Do I need experience?

To be successful as a Local Business Development Manager, you will ideally have previous experience in a vehicle sales capacity – will consider other applicants from other industries, ideally including B2B sales experience. In addition to your previous experience, the key attributes we look for are:

✔ Influencing skills with the ability and confidence to convert enquiries to sales
✔ Written and oral communication skills
✔ Numerate
✔ Ability to network with the wider Park’s businesses and teams
✔ Ability to attend Industry events and networking events
✔ Excellent customer management skills to build long lasting relationships
✔ Professionalism, with a commitment to adhering to process and procedure
✔ Passionate about the motor trade industry
✔ Passionate about Ford Product and associated products
✔ Passionate about learning and developing
✔ Full UKDriving License
✔ IT / Computer literate
