Post-16 Teacher (Special Educational Needs)
Location: Edgware
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced and dedicated educator with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a committed and dynamic Post-16 Teacher to join our team, where your expertise will help shape the future of young adults in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

About the Post-16 Teaching Role:
As a Post-16 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and tailored lessons to students with diverse needs, supporting their academic and personal development. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and families to create an environment where every learner can thrive and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities of the Post-16 Teacher:

1. Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of Post-16 students with SEN.
2. Develop and implement personalised learning plans, ensuring that students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally.
3. Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
4. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to deliver a holistic approach to education.
5. Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
6. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence and confidence.

About You
The ideal Post-16 Teaching candidate will have:

7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
8. Proven experience teaching Post-16 students, with a strong understanding of SEN best practices.
9. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
10. A commitment to inclusive education and a proactive approach to overcoming barriers to learning.
11. Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic educational setting.
12. A positive, compassionate, and resilient mindset.
