Mechanical Engineer
Bristol (Hybrid 3 days per week)
We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team supporting Landing Gear work packages. This is a great opportunity to engage in cutting-edge aerospace engineering while collaborating with customers and stakeholders to deliver high-standard system engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop landing gear components and systems using CAD tools (CATIA V5).
* Apply stress analysis, thermodynamics, and structural integrity principles.
* Drive design improvements for performance, manufacturability, and cost.
* Conduct and support testing, simulations, and data analysis.
* Investigate technical issues and lead root cause analysis efforts.
* Support maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities.
* Manage engineering changes and maintain configuration control.
* Participate in PDR and CDR sessions and prepare documentation for airworthiness certification.
What We’re Looking For
* Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
* Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and structural mechanics.
* Advanced CATIA V5 skills and experience with PLM/VPM systems (PASS-SSI a plus).
* Proficiency in stress analysis, product development, and data analysis.
* Aerospace industry experience, ideally in landing gear systems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* High attention to detail with a safety-first mindset.
* Experience with system-level technical specification and V&V cycles is advantageous.
