As one of the local leading providers of palliative and end of life care, St Andrew’s Hospice is a forward-thinking charity offering both adult and children’s services. We reach over 800 patients and their families in Northeast Lincolnshire and our wider catchment area of Lincolnshire, Hull and East Yorkshire for our children’s services and are growing our services to meet the expected increase in need.
Complementary therapies play a powerful role in helping our patients with symptom control and providing emotional benefits, as we aim to make their lives a little easier at the most challenging time.
As part of our Support and Wellbeing team, you will work closely with patients across adult and children’s inpatient and outpatient services, as well as their carers. You will also support staff and volunteers by providing person-centred therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality complementary therapy services to patients and their carers across adult and children's services (inpatient and outpatient).
* Provide person-centred therapeutic interventions and support to staff and volunteers as part of the Support and Wellbeing team.
Qualifications
* A diploma in body massage and a second-degree Reiki as a minimum.
* Post-registration experience as a therapist (experience in a health care setting is highly desirable).
* Membership of a recognised professional association.
