A consumer technology business developing sports hardware is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager on a full‑time, permanent basis in London.
Role: Supply Chain Manager
Type: Permanent
Location: Clapham (3 days per week in‑office)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + bonus + benefits
Key responsibilities for the Supply Chain Manager will include and will not be limited to:
Owning the end‑to‑end relationship with the company's primary contract manufacturer based in China.
Supporting production scale‑up from ~50k units to ~150k units annually, ensuring quality and delivery performance.
Leading annual and in‑year contract pricing negotiations, including cost optimisation across electrical and sub‑components.
Managing sourcing activities to balance cost, quality, supply continuity and supplier performance.
Working closely with Hardware, Engineering and Data teams to ensure on‑time, high‑quality manufacturing output.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across cost, efficiency and quality metrics.
Leading production planning with contract manufacturers and sub‑suppliers.
Analysing supply chain data, reporting on KPIs, spend variances and operational performance.
Contributing to long‑term supply strategy, including supplier diversification and future product iterations.
Key skills and experience required for the Supply Chain Manager applicant will include and will not be limited to:
Minimum 3 years experience in Supply Chain or Purchasing, ideally within consumer electronics or hardware
Proven background in contract negotiation, ideally with agreements totalling $1m+ USD.
Experience managing or working with overseas manufacturers, with exposure to China, Mexico, Vietnam or Eastern Europe desirable.
Strong analytical capability, including cost modelling and data driven decision making.
Comfortable owning processes end‑to‑end within dynamic, small‑team environments.
Confident managing suppliers, resolving operational challenges and driving continuous improvement.
