Do you want to make a difference in the lives of neurodiverse young people and their families? Are you interested in changing perceptions, shaping neurodevelopmental assessment services, and promoting positive outcomes for neurodiverse young people and their families?
Are you skilled at building relationships, leading teams, and promoting innovative approaches?
Following a significant investment by local commissioners in our established RDaSH Neurodevelopmental Disorder pathways, we are seeking to recruit enthusiastic professionals such as Mental Health, Paediatric, or Adult Nurses, Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, or Social Workers to join our multidisciplinary Neurodevelopmental assessment team. Positions are available with both full-time and flexible hours.
This is an exciting time to join this service as we have been working closely with partner agencies to develop a more integrated, multi-agency, and multidisciplinary service. You will be joining a large, dynamic, and supportive team of Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Nurses committed to working within a compassionate framework that prioritizes your development and well-being.
The successful candidates should have excellent communication skills and will provide consultation to families, schools, and other professionals and agencies regarding ASD and/or ADHD. There will also be a requirement to undertake ASD and ADHD assessments and consider differential diagnoses, including Intellectual Disability and trauma. Experience working with neurodivergent children, in multi-agency teams, and with diverse client groups reflecting the full spectrum of clinical severity is essential.
The Neurodevelopmental pathway is dedicated to personal and professional development; this role offers an excellent opportunity to acquire specialized knowledge and transferable skills within a supportive team environment. Candidates will be encouraged to undertake training in ADOS-2.
