Summary: We are seeking a competent Surveyor to join the AtkinsRéalis Geomatics Team, conducting site surveys primarily across East Anglia, Suffolk, and the Greater London area. This role involves a mix of fieldwork and office-based data processing, requiring the measurement and collection of data on land, buildings, and various natural and man-made features. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing surveys using advanced equipment such as Robotic Total Stations, Laser Scanners, GNSS receivers, and Digital Levels. They will also process survey data using industry-standard software and produce detailed reports to client specifications. The role demands flexibility, including willingness to work early mornings, nights, and weekends to access assets when required. Some overnight stays near sites may be necessary. The position requires a full UK driving licence and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The agreed hourly charge rate should reflect the inclusive nature of the work, covering early starts, night shifts, and weekend work, as well as expenses related to the specified base locations. Skills: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Surveyor or Assistant Surveyor in Geomatics Proficient in using Robotic Total Stations, Laser Scanners, GNSS receivers, and Digital Levels Competent in processing survey data with industry-standard software Skilled in Bentley MicroStation or AutoCAD Flexible approach to site work including night and weekend shifts Full UK driving licence Ability to plan, organise, and supervise survey activities Strong communication and report writing skills Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to self-check and verify survey data accuracy Software/Tools: Bentley MicroStation AutoCAD Trimble Business Centre Leica Cyclone Topodot Infinity Starnet Certifications & Standards: Relevant site safety certifications (e.g. Network Rail PTS) desirable CSCS card desirable Health and Safety compliance awareness
