Overview
Chronos Energy are pleased to be working with an established developer of heat network projects to help them hire a Business Development Manager in the South West of England. A fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and to work extensively on growing the revenue on specific projects and schemes. The ideal candidate will have a track record of sales/business development in the District heating/Heat network sector in the UK before and will have excellent experience, success and control of a typical sales cycle.
Responsibilities
* Engage with customers about the carbon and cost-saving benefits of connecting to our networks
* Develop the end-to-end sales pipeline—taking customers from lead through to contract negotiation and agreement in line with (or exceeding) our targets
* Support the Sales Director in identifying, mapping, and qualifying new leads
* Build strong relationships both with customers and key stakeholders
* Look for opportunities to improve the sales process and our offer to customers, as well as the brand and marketing materials
* Support commercial negotiations and contract management as required
Qualifications
* Either previous B2B sales experience or a strong interest in promoting district heat networks, sustainability, and/or the energy industry
* Either familiarity with district heating networks and their components or a willingness to develop a working knowledge of these technologies and the sector in general
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience making presentations and drafting customer offers / recommendations
* Experience using Hubspot CRM software would be ideal (though not essential)
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and experience of nurturing excellent relationships with prospects using a consultative onboarding approach
* A genuine passion for our mission and eagerness to make the process of decarbonising heat for our customers as straightforward and frictionless as possible
