Supervisor Sector: Rail ¦Civil Engineering Asset Maintenance (CAM)Location: Inverness About Our Business UnitA dynamic and fast-paced environment engaged in a variety of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects. We work with diverse clients, including Local Authorities, Network Rail, and Environmental agencies. Our projects typically encompass civil engineering works and infrastructure developments such as: Highways & Roads Underbridges, Overbridges, and Footbridges Tunnels Flood Alleviation & Repairs Earthworks & Embankments Rail Platforms and Station Infrastructure Currently, we operate several live infrastructure projects and long-term frameworks, including Civils Asset Management (CAM), Renewals Enhancement Framework (REF), and a Slabtrack framework. The RoleYou will be responsible for planning and delivering successful project outcomes by: Ensuring the Health, Safety, and Welfare of all personnel and others under your supervision, in compliance with the Supervisors’ Health and Safety Responsibility Statement. Effectively implementing all company and client health, safety, and environmental initiatives. Reporting unsafe practices or conditions. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and best practice. Leading, supervising, and monitoring both direct and subcontracted teams. Delivering work within agreed timelines and budgets, in accordance with:All relevant legislation Contract terms and conditions The Contract Health and Safety Plan The Contract Quality/Environmental Plan Client-approved Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets Approved Construction Drawings and Specifications Company policies and procedures within the Business Management System Ensuring quality standards are met ‘right first time.’ Monitoring progress to ensure project objectives are achieved. Managing scope changes effectively, from identification to implementation. Maintaining accurate records such as diaries, allocation sheets, and plant logs. Providing regular progress reports to the Project Manager or Site Agent. Escalating unresolved issues at site level to the Project Manager or Site Agent. Identifying and addressing training needs for directly employed operatives under your supervision. Candidate Requirements Prior experience as a Supervisor within the railway maintenance industry. Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification. Demonstrable experience in civil engineering or rail infrastructure projects with relevant competencies and certifications.
