About the School: This specialist provision supports children and young people aged 7–16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Set in a peaceful, woodland environment, the school takes an outdoor, holistic approach to learning, combining academic teaching with forest school principles and therapeutic support. The Role: As the Art Teacher, you will: Deliver a rich, inclusive and creative art curriculum Use both classroom and outdoor environments to inspire artistic exploration Support emotional regulation and confidence-building through creativity Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including therapeutic and forest school staff Teach small groups (typically 4–6 pupils) with varied and often complex needs What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – ideally with an Art specialism Experience with SEMH, SEN, or alternative education settings A nurturing, trauma-informed, and resilient approach Passion for outdoor learning, creative arts, and holistic education Strong behaviour management and the ability to build trusting relationships What the School Offers: Small, supportive class sizes A calm and therapeutic outdoor setting Emphasis on creativity, mental health, and student wellbeing Extensive CPD and support from a highly experienced team A genuinely rewarding teaching environment Start Date: September 2025 Location: Warrington Contract Type: Full-time | Permanent or Long-Term Salary: Competitive (based on experience) SEN allowance Interested in applying?
