Overview
The opportunity for a Process Manager / Process Technologist join a high-performing team at a reputable retail manufacturer based in Staffordshire. Summary
This role will be responsible for leading the development, optimisation, and implementation of production processes to enhance efficiency, product quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in food manufacturing, process engineering, or production management, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Role Description
Key responsibilities include:
* Analyse, design, and optimise production processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality
* Lead trials and validations of new products, equipment, and process changes
* Collaborate with NPD, Technical, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes
* Identify and implement continuous improvement projects
* Ensure all processes meet food safety and regulatory compliance (e.g., BRC, HACCP, retailer standards)
* Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or process issues
* Maintain detailed documentation and process specifications
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and process control
* Has experience running and planning trials / done strategy work
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Experience working with major UK retailers (e.g., Tesco, M&S, Aldi)
