Account Manager – Metals
Location: Bradford (Office based)
Salary:
* £30,000 – £35,000 (2-3 years sales experience)
* £35,000 – £40,000 (3+ years experience)
* Annual Bonus
The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading UK steel stockholder with decades of experience, extensive stockholding, and in-house processing capabilities, the business supports sectors including construction, fabrication, offshore, and infrastructure.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Account Manager to manage and develop key relationships within their existing client base, while also identifying new commercial opportunities.
The Role
This is a commercially focused account management role tailored to support existing client needs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and developing key customer accounts within the structural steel fabrication market
* Building long-term relationships with fabricators, contractors, and buyers
* Identifying opportunities to increase spend, margin, and product penetration
* Producing accurate quotations with strong attention to detail
* Working closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery
* Maintaining awareness of product range, pricing, and market trends

Essential:
* Experience in a sales or account management role
* Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
* High attention to detail
* Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Desirable:
* Experience within steel, metals, construction, or engineering sectors
* Knowledge of steel products or fabrication markets
* Experience working with technical or specification-led products
