Belmont House School is seeking a Teacher of History & Modern Studies from Monday 11th August 2025
This post is full-time and it is essential that applicants are able to offer both subjects to SQA presentation level. An ability to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the School would be advantageous.
The successful applicant will be the main teacher of History & Modern Studies within the Social Sciences Department with responsibility for these subjects within the School.
It is expected that the successful candidate will hold an Honours Degree and be registered with, or eligible for registration with, The General Teaching Council for Scotland. The successful candidate should be capable of teaching up to and including Advanced Higher in both subjects and ideally have a proven record of presentation at least to Higher Grade. However, all applicants will be considered, including those who can demonstrate outstanding potential at an early stage in their career.
Applications should be sent to the Principal no later than Thursday 15th May, enclosing a letter of application, a full CV and the names and contact details of two professional referees. Interviews will be held in late May 2025.
Further details may be obtained by contacting the School.
