SGS is seeking a reliable and proactive Inspection Support Operative to assist our busy Inspection department. The role involves basic inspection support tasks including sample collection/delivery, site visits, equipment handling, and documentation transport.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect samples from vessels, shore tanks, and retail forecourts in line with client and industry standards
* Transport samples and documentation to/from vessels and labs
* Maintain inspection stock and sampling equipment
* Support compliance with safety, health, and COSHH standards
* Work closely with the operations and laboratory teams to meet tight client deadlines

Qualifications
No prior experience is required for this role — full training will be provided.

* Comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work
* Flexible and able to work independently to strict timelines
* Full UK driving license
* Strong communication, literacy, and basic IT skills
Desirable:
* Knowledge of COSHH and oil/chemical sampling
* Experience in an industrial or oil & chemicals environment
