Job Purpose:
Following sustained growth over the last 5 years, we require a Head of Business Development to drive sales and marketing activities aligned with our business objectives. The role involves developing and overseeing our commercial strategy in collaboration with the Directors to prioritize and execute projects that facilitate growth.
We welcome candidates with diverse experiences; potential is valued alongside experience. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, outgoing, and possess strong branding, marketing, sales, and customer relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop our existing commercial strategy to surpass growth targets.
* Lead the business development team to increase leads, improve lead conversion, and manage the sales pipeline to achieve revenue growth.
* Drive income growth by leveraging market, industry, and economic opportunities in line with targets, budgets, and KPIs.
* Provide research and insights to foster innovation and thought leadership, including chairing discussions, forming sector interest groups, and utilizing research outputs.
* Act as an advocate for PARCOR, engaging in external presentations and speaking engagements, and building stakeholder relationships.
* Create and manage social media strategies and campaigns, supporting content creation to position PARCOR as a thought leader.
* Research and secure new business tenders, frameworks, DPS, and accreditations.
* Organize and coordinate business and social events.
* Build and promote the corporate brand as a brand ambassador.
* Work with teams and stakeholders to provide strategic direction for business development and sector penetration.
* Manage relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
* Coach and manage team members to drive income growth, ensuring effective lead generation and progression.
* Develop sector knowledge and understanding of client needs.
* Participate in senior management meetings, contribute to organizational strategy, and be involved in project teams and business planning.
* Coordinate with other departments for new product and service launches and ensure clear articulation of value propositions.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or relevant fields.
* MBA or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in Social Housing, Surveying, and Retrofit sectors.
* Brand building capabilities.
* Strong communication and networking skills.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively.
* Proactive in identifying new marketing and business opportunities.
* Experience in sales pipeline management and delivering income growth.
* Understanding of sales processes and sector networks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent public speaking, presentation, questioning, listening, and communication skills.
* Effective time management and leadership abilities.
* Relationship-building experience.
