GSL Education are looking for caring and committed 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants to work in schools within Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with individual pupils to help them overcome challenges and thrive in their learning environment. Role Overview: As a 1:1 SEND TA, you will provide tailored support to a pupil with special educational needs, assisting with their academic progress, social skills, and emotional wellbeing. You will work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to implement individual education plans and ensure the pupil’s needs are met effectively. Responsibilities as a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant: Deliver personalised support to meet the specific needs of an individual pupil. Assist with academic tasks, behaviour management, and social development. Adapt learning materials and resources as required. Support the pupil in both classroom and social settings. Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress and wellbeing. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide holistic support. Requirements for 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant: Experience supporting children with SEND, preferably in a 1:1 capacity. Understanding of a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
