We are currently looking for a **Mill Machinist** to join the highly successful team at our **Trafalgar Rd, IOW** branch.**What you’ll be doing:**Our Timber Mill Machinists are very important to the smooth running of the business. Their role is important to help ensure products are where they need to be on time.* Good grasp of Health & Safety requirements in an Operational environment* Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to machinery or mechanical handling equipment to be used* Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to working in a timber processing plant and timber storage and distribution site* Ability to carry out routine inspections* Ability to understand, complete and maintain all documentation associated and required by the role* Ability to work as a team player within the timber processing plant and overall site operation* Operating a variety of woodworking machinery such as; band resaw, planer/ thicknesser, Five headed moulder, Spindle moulder, Profile grinder, crosscut.* Working across various tasks in the mill including quality control, stacking of machine timber and housekeeping.* Adherence to EHS standards by ensuring; work area is kept tidy, work area is cleaned daily, machinery is rigorously maintained**Working Hours:****Monday to Friday 730am to 4:00pm****What We’re Looking For:*** Enthusiasm - You radiate positivity and possess an unyielding passion for the merchant world* Decency - You embody honesty and integrity, contributing to a workplace built on respect and ethics* Team Spirit - You thrive in collaborative settings, believing that together we can achieve greatness* Pride - You take pride in your work and are dedicated to producing top-notch results* Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential**Why Choose Us?*** Quality - We’re unwavering in our commitment to providing outstanding products and service that exceed our customers’ expectations* Supportive Environment - Join a culture that prioritises your growth, with the resources and support you need to excel* Professional Development - We are invested in your success!
