POST TITLE: Teacher of Humanities (History specialist preferable) POST RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Humanities START DATE: September 2026 SALARY: Teacher Main or Upper Pay Scale CLOSING DATE: 14th May 2026 INTERVIEW DATE: WC: 18th May 2026 This is not just another Humanities teacher role. It is an opportunity to inspire curiosity about the world, develop students’ understanding of physical and human processes, and shape excellence in Humanities within a digitally innovative academy at the heart of a Trust driven by a deep commitment to creativity in education. The BOA Group is seeking to appoint a motivated, dedicated and aspirational Teacher of Humanities to join the team at BOA Digital Technologies Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner who is passionate about delivering high quality teaching and learning, fostering a love of Humanities, and ensuring all students develop strong subject knowledge and the ability to think critically about the world around them. BOA Digital Technologies Academy is seeking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Humanities to join a committed team, working alongside colleagues and leaders to deliver excellence in teaching and learning. The role will be primarily based at BOA Digital Technologies Academy, with opportunities to collaborate across other BOA Group academies in central Birmingham. As Teacher of Humanities, the postholder will play an important role in the academy’s academic success, delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to the development of an ambitious and engaging Humanities curriculum. This is a role for a strong classroom practitioner who is committed to raising standards, modelling best practice, and ensuring all students make excellent progress. The successful candidate will promote a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement, using evidence-informed approaches to support effective teaching and learning. Through strong classroom practice and collaborative working, they will inspire students to develop a deep understanding of the world, think critically about global issues, and engage with Humanities in a meaningful way.
