Astute's Nuclear team are working on a retained basis with Steve Vick, industry leaders in the development of innovative engineering solutions for trenchless renovation and decommissioning of pipes worldwide. We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their rapidly growing projects team based at their offices in Bradford on Avon.
The Project Manager role comes with a salary of around £50,000 dependant on experience, plus a car allowance and competitive package. This is a really exciting time to join Steve Vick as they develop their projects, expanding further into the water and nuclear sectors.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Nuclear Director, the Project Manager will:
Successfully managing projects at various stages, showcasing expertise across stakeholder management, working with third party vendors, suppliers and contractors.
Deliver projects on time and to budget, ensuring that all project deliverables meet the highest standards.
Work with key stakeholders to define the project scope, looking at key objectives and deliverables to develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
Manage the project risk register, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies where needed.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols throughout the project lifestyle
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
Manage client relationships, leading discussions on design adjustments, scope changes, and any issues that arise during project execution.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits, overseeing the preparation of documentation for regulatory approvals, safety audits, and certifications.

Professional qualifications & skills
We are looking for someone with the following:
Qualified to degree level, HND of experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent are advantageous.
5+ years of project management experience, ideally within design and development for safety-critical industries (e.g., oil & gas, nuclear, aerospace, rail, water or similar sectors).
Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of complex projects from design through to on-site installation.
Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices relevant to safety-critical industries, ideally holding a relevant health and safety certificate. (IOSH)
Knowledge of ISO standards and industry-specific regulations.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve security clearance of SC and eventually DV level
