We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced Service Advisor for their well-established automotive service department in Colchester, Essex.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a professional with a background in independent garages or main dealer environments to join a dynamic, customer-focused business committed to excellence.
The successful Service Advisor will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a seamless process from initial contact to vehicle collection.

Monday to Friday working hours from 8.15am to 5.15pm

Continuous training and development opportunitiesDuties as a Service Advisor:
Welcoming customers in person and over the phone
Booking vehicles for servicing, repairs, and MOTs accurately and efficiently
Handling payments, invoicing, and administrative duties with precision
Responding to customer enquiries and providing updates throughout the service process
Liaising with technicians and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations
Maintaining accurate customer records and booking information
Supporting the team to deliver excellent customer service and meet targets
Adhering to health and safety policies and company standardsRequirements in this Service Advisor role:
Previous experience working as a Service Advisor within an automotive service or MOT centre
Strong communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Proficient in booking systems, Microsoft Office, and email applications
Ability to stay calm and professional in busy environments
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team
Experience handling payments, invoicing, and administrative tasks
