About the Role
As a Systems Engineer at ABMI Engineering UK, you will play a vital role in defining, developing, validating, and supporting complex engineering systems for our customers in the aerospace and nuclear sectors. You will ensure solutions meet the highest safety, quality, and performance standards, applying robust systems engineering processes throughout the lifecycle.
This position involves creating digital system representations, conducting trade studies, and applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to simulate, optimise, and validate designs. Your work will help drive efficiency, collaboration, and innovation across our projects.
How You Will Contribute
* Define the solution baseline for mission-critical systems across their lifecycle.
* Develop operational and system-level architectures using recognised frameworks and modelling tools.
* Ensure traceability of system architecture to requirements and stakeholder needs.
* Perform trade-off analyses, validate assumptions, and capture key design decisions.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support system integration and verification.
* Contribute to compliance with UK and international regulatory standards.
About You
* Experience in Systems Engineering, delivering hardware and/or software projects.
* Knowledge of MBSE principles and practices.
* Familiarity with Architectural Frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, NAF, MODAF, or similar).
* Skilled in high-level modelling languages (e.g., SysML, UML).
* Experience with tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, Cameo Systems Modeler, or equivalent.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, balancing safety, performance, and cost.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage across all project levels.
