What You’ll Be Doing Lead the council’s treasury and capital investment strategy. Oversee capital budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. Manage and mentor a small finance team, driving performance and innovation. Make key decisions on borrowing and investment activities. Represent the council in regional and national finance forums. Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. What We’re Looking For A qualified accountant (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 2 years post-qualification experience. At least 5 years of hands-on treasury experience. Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial appraisals. Confident leader with a track record of developing teams. Knowledge of local government finance and capital legislation is a plus. What You’ll Get Generous public sector pension scheme.
