About the Role:
Are you a confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills and a flair for problem-solving? We’re recruiting a Procurement Team Leader for a leading manufacturer, ideal for someone with a background in account management, buying, or supply chain, looking to step up into a team leadership role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships across the UK and overseas.
* Lead and support a small team of buyers, ensuring smooth day-to-day purchasing.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to deliver best value.
* Analyse data and forecasts to ensure stock availability and supply chain resilience.
* Support new supplier onboarding and drive continuous improvement.
* Work closely with internal teams including R&D, Sales, and QA.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Background in account management, procurement, or supply chain.
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
* Strong analytical mindset (a Maths or analytical degree is a bonus).
* Energetic, proactive, and commercially aware.
* Holds a full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Team leadership experience is an advantage but not essential.
* CIPS qualified (or willing to study towards) desirable but not essential.
